JOB SUMMARY
The Industrial/Site Nurse provides professional nursing care, first aid, emergency medical response, occupational health support, and health monitoring for employees and contractors working in a refinery and petrochemical environment.
The Nurse works closely with the HSE/HSSE team, Site Management, Physicians, Emergency Response Team, and external medical facilities to ensure timely and appropriate medical care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance for workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Respond to medical emergencies and support the site’s Emergency Response Team.
• Assess employees’ health conditions and determine appropriate treatment or referral.
• Monitor occupational health conditions and employee wellbeing.
• Assist with medical examinations and health-screening programs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
• Administer medications and treatments within authorized nursing scope and site procedures.
• Coordinate referrals to physicians, clinics, or hospitals when required.
• Monitor and maintain first-aid equipment, medicines, medical supplies, and emergency equipment.
• Conduct health awareness and occupational-health education programs.
• Support workplace injury/illness investigations and prepare medical reports.
• Report medical incidents and health concerns to the appropriate management/HSE personnel.
• Participate in emergency drills and medical emergency preparedness activities.
• Support heat-stress prevention, fatigue management, hygiene, and other occupational-health initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company medical procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable Saudi regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards in all patient interactions.

REFINERY / PETROCHEMICAL ENVIRONMENT
The Nurse should be prepared to respond to medical situations associated with industrial operations, including:

• Heat stress and dehydration
• Chemical exposure
• Burns and thermal injuries
• Cuts, lacerations, and crush injuries
• Falls and trauma
• Eye injuries/chemical splashes
• Respiratory emergencies
• Electrical injuries
• Workplace illness
• Major medical emergencies
• Fire/emergency evacuation situations

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
2. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license/registration applicable to the position.
3. Current professional registration and required Saudi licensing/eligibility, where applicable.
4. BLS certification required; ACLS,ITLS/other emergency certifications are advantageous.
5. Occupational health or industrial nursing experience is highly preferred.
6. Experience in refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, construction, or other industrial environments is an advantage.
7. Good English communication and documentation skills.
8. Computer literacy and ability to maintain electronic medical records.

EXPERIENCE

• Preferred:
  5+ years of clinical nursing experience.
  At least 2 years of industrial/site/occupational-health nursing experience is highly desirable.
• A recent Project Site Nurse position supporting Petro Rabigh Polymer I & II specified 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 2 years of industrial field nursing experience.
