Position Title: Integrity Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:
To Plan, coordinate and monitor inspection, maintenance and repair activities of all related static
equipment of the assigned plant and provision of expert advice and guidance for development integrity strategy and framework cove, process engineering, reliability, and inspection functions for all Company operations, in accordance with the overall Operations Office divisional strategy/HSEQ standards in order to ensure timely reliability and availability of all assets to support the operational excellence,uninterrupted operations and sustenance of high productivity standards in line with industrial best practices and regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Description
Budgets and Plans
▪ Prepare and propose the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas
of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance
improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
▪ Ensure effective execution of inspection schedules of the assigned unit in line with the overall
inspection plans and approved budgets in accord with defined HSE and quality standards.
▪ Identify material/equipment required for the planned inspection activities in the assigned area for all
Company’s locations and coordinate with Maintenance Planning and Heads for the timely availability of all requirements.
Inspection Management
▪ Monitor frequency of static equipment inspection schedules in compliance with manufacturer’s
recommendations, approved regulations, procedures, and inspection analysis results.
▪ Lead the process of allocating work and participate with Maintenance and Operations personnel in the
investigation of problems and the provision of technical advice, ensuring all significant results are
recorded for further action.
▪ Formulate inspection and corrosion policies and procedures to ensure all equipment and facilities are
maintained properly and efficiently, ensuring continuous update of knowledge in field to ensure
maximum effectiveness and/or cost reduction and to ensure prevention of re-occurrence of incidents.
▪ Conduct studies, analysis of corrosion, erosion, and other failure patterns to identify corrective
measures and develop procedures to prevent re-occurrence of incidents.
▪ Ensure the participation in detailed turnaround planning for inspection works including reviewing
equipment lists and defining specific and general inspection requirements, coordinating with
Operations Office and Maintenance Departments on the listing of the equipment to be inspected and
scope of work.
▪ Supervise all activities relating to general and regular shutdowns including inspection work
preparations, scope of inspection and extent of inspection for Olefins plants’ processes and
▪ Review the quality assurance documents, material specifications and inspection and test plans of new
equipment to ensure it conformity with Company’s specifications requirements.
▪ Prepare written performance standards and procedures for all inspection instruments and techniques
such as ultra-sonic, magnetic particle, radiography, metallographic equipment for the assigned plant;
assist the Head of Integrity in setting up formal inspection criteria, rules, procedures, and inspection
programs, according to latest techniques. Ensures inspection schedules are established and
maintained for new equipment.
▪ Prepare technical specifications and requirements for external inspection services required by Company
and participate in the review and evaluation of bids for inspection work according to specifications and
procedures to be followed.

▪ Provide inputs and implement departmental policies, systems, and procedure across the plant so that
all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective
service.
▪ Support enhancement of departmental policy and procedures and develop/enhance procedures
related to Inspection & Integrity Department, implement procedures and controls covering all areas of
Integrity activity to ensure adherence and effective implementation.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
▪ Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures
and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of
high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
▪ Collaborate with HSE and Quality on related issues such as process safety, maintaining and updating
system documentation and continuous improvement systems, etc. to achieve and exceed target standards.
▪ Participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for improvement.
Statement and Reports
▪ Supervise and provide inputs in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and
reports to business coordination unit to meet Company’s and department requirements, policies and
standards.

CONTEXT & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
▪ The Integrity Engineer shall be responsible for the effective execution of inspection programs in line
with the defined plans and quality standards, shall work according to established company policies and
procedures, industry norms and best practices using own initiative in a variety of ways to answer
technical queries/resolve problems within the defined policies and procedures.
▪ The Integrity Engineer shall determine work methods from alternative existing methods in accordance
with established specialized policies and professional standards. This role shall be responsible to lead
a team of contractors to fulfil unit objectives in line with HSE and quality standards.
▪ Completed work assignments are subject to review by the Head of Integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
Minimum Experience:
▪ 6 years of related experience in the assigned field in service Inspection with at least 3 years of
growing supervisory/team leadership responsibilities and exposure to administration of Inspection
administration.
Job-Specific Skills (Generic/Technical):
▪ Experience in petrochemical or oil and gas plants, with extensive compressors, pumps, turbines
experience.
▪ Knowledge of all the applicable codes, such as APl, ASME, and ASCHE, with experience in the
specification.
▪ Knowledge of downtime analysis and good knowledge of problem-solving tools
▪ Knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS
(Computer Maintenance Management System, good knowledge of SAP Template desirable).
