This project requires a wide range of technical, operational, engineering, and support roles to ensure safe, efficient, and world-class offshore operations. Job Title: Offshore Asset Manager – LNG Production

Location: Offshore (Middle East Region) – Qatar

Department: Operations / Asset Management

Reporting To: Head of Offshore Production / VP Operations

Job Purpose

To lead and manage offshore LNG production assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and optimized operations aligned with corporate objectives, regulatory standards, and environmental commitments. The role oversees multi-disciplinary teams, asset integrity, production targets, and strategic planning across offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operations ManagementOversee daily production activities across offshore platforms and compression units.
Team LeadershipDirect and mentor offshore operations teams, including technicians and supervisors.
Asset IntegrityEnsure mechanical, electrical, and process systems are maintained to industry standards.
Production OptimizationMonitor KPIs, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement performance improvement plans.
Safety & ComplianceEnforce HSE policies, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Budget & PlanningManage OPEX/CAPEX budgets, contribute to long-term asset development strategies.
Stakeholder EngagementLiaise with onshore teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to align operational goals.
Emergency ResponseLead offshore emergency preparedness and incident management protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10–15 years in offshore oil & gas or LNG production, with 5+ years in asset leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in LNG compression projects, offshore commissioning, and turnaround planning.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, asset integrity, and production optimization.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems, production reporting tools, and offshore duty cycles (e.g., 28/28 rotation).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Technical proficiency in LNG systems, rotating equipment, and control systems.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic or other regional languages a plus.

Work Conditions

  • Offshore rotation (e.g., 28 days on / 28 days off).
  • Remote site leadership with periodic onshore coordination.
  • High-risk environment requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.

  • Mandatory offshore experience
  • High school diploma for non-senior roles
  • Job-specific vocational training for non-senior positions
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering for senior and leadership roles
  • Ability to work in a high-risk offshore environment
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance with operational procedures

Core Offshore Certificates

  • OGUK/OEUK Medical Certificate
    • Confirms you are medically fit to work offshore.
    • Issued by OEUK-approved doctors.
    • Typically valid for 2 years.
  • BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training)
    • Essential safety training for all offshore personnel.
    • Covers firefighting, sea survival, first aid, and emergency response.
    • Must include CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System).
    • Valid for 4 years.
  • FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training)
    • Refresher course for those whose BOSIET is expiring.
    • Valid for 4 years.
  • HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
    • Mandatory if traveling offshore by helicopter.
    • Teaches escape techniques in case of ditching/crash landing.
    • Often bundled with BOSIET.
