Job Description: Scaffolding Supervisor (Offshore Oil & Gas LNG Production)

Position Overview

The Scaffolding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in offshore oil, gas, and LNG production facilities. This role ensures scaffolding activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international standards, supporting maintenance, construction, and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision of Scaffolding Teams: Lead and coordinate scaffolders in daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
• Planning & Execution: Review work requirements, plan scaffolding layouts, and allocate manpower and materials.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure scaffolding erection and dismantling meet HSE standards, offshore safety protocols, and company procedures.
• Inspection & Certification: Conduct inspections of scaffolding structures, issue permits, and certify scaffolds for use.
• Documentation: Maintain records of scaffolding activities, inspections, and material usage.
• Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to scaffolders on safe practices and technical skills.
• Coordination: Liaise with maintenance, construction, and operations teams to support offshore projects.
• Emergency Support: Ensure scaffolding readiness for urgent maintenance or shutdown activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or technical certification in construction, engineering, or scaffolding.
• Experience: 5–7 years in scaffolding, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role in offshore oil & gas or LNG.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of scaffolding systems (tube & fitting, modular), load calculations, and offshore standards.
• Certifications: Offshore survival training (BOSIET/T-BOSIET, HUET), H2S awareness, CISRS/SAF Scaffold Supervisor certification preferred.
• Skills: Leadership, safety awareness, problem-solving, communication, and ability to work under pressure.
