This project requires a wide range of technical, operational, engineering, and support roles to ensure safe, efficient, and world-class offshore operations. Position Overview

The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) – CP4N LNG Production is the senior authority on the CP4N offshore LNG facility. The OIM is accountable for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the installation, ensuring compliance with company policies, international standards, and regulatory requirements. This role provides strategic leadership across production, maintenance, safety, logistics, and emergency response functions, while driving operational excellence and asset integrity.

Project Scope:

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management
    • Serve as the overall in-charge of the CP4N offshore LNG installation.
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams including production, maintenance, marine, and support staff.
    • Align offshore operations with corporate objectives and LNG production targets.
  • Operations Oversight
    • Direct LNG production processes including gas treatment, liquefaction, compression, and utilities.
    • Approve and supervise start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.
    • Monitor KPIs and ensure continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Act as the ultimate authority for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) offshore.
    • Ensure compliance with international LNG standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead emergency response efforts and serve as Incident Commander during crises.
    • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and drills.
  • Asset Integrity & Maintenance
    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
    • Ensure asset integrity through inspections, certifications, and reliability programs.
    • Approve work permits and isolation procedures for critical equipment.
  • Logistics & Coordination
    • Manage offshore logistics including supply boat operations, material handling, and personnel transfers.
    • Coordinate with onshore management for planning, reporting, and resource allocation.
    • Maintain accurate records of production, incidents, and operational activities.
  • People Development
    • Mentor and develop offshore staff to build technical competence and leadership skills.
    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related discipline).
  • 12–15 years of oil & gas/LNG experience, with at least 5 years in offshore leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of LNG production processes, offshore operations, and safety management systems.
  • Certifications: BOSIET/OPITO, HSE Management, Emergency Response Leadership.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills under pressure.

Core Offshore Certificates

    • OGUK/OEUK Medical Certificate
      • Confirms you are medically fit to work offshore.
      • Issued by OEUK-approved doctors.
      • Typically valid for 2 years.
    • BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training)
      • Essential safety training for all offshore personnel.
      • Covers firefighting, sea survival, first aid, and emergency response.
      • Must include CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System).
      • Valid for 4 years.
    • FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training)
      • Refresher course for those whose BOSIET is expiring.
      • Valid for 4 years.
    • HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
      • Mandatory if traveling offshore by helicopter.
      • Teaches escape techniques in case of ditching/crash landing.
      • Often bundled with BOSIET.
