Senior Operator – OES (Offshore LNG Production)

Position Overview

The Senior Operator – OES is responsible for supervising and executing offshore LNG production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance of gas treatment, liquefaction, compression, and associated utility systems. This role provides leadership to offshore teams, enforces strict safety standards, and supports maintenance and logistics activities to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Supervision
    • Direct and monitor LNG production processes including gas separation, treatment, liquefaction, and compression.
    • Execute start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures in compliance with company standards.
    • Ensure product quality and production efficiency through continuous monitoring and adjustments.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies and procedures across offshore operations.
    • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
    • Ensure compliance with international LNG standards and company regulations.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor operators and technicians in daily offshore activities.
    • Provide training and guidance to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.
    • Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams for planned and corrective work.
  • Maintenance Support
    • Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of LNG production equipment.
    • Participate in pigging, flushing, and gas freeing operations.
    • Report equipment malfunctions and recommend operational improvements.
  • Logistics & Coordination
    • Oversee offshore material handling, including loading/unloading of supply boats.
    • Maintain accurate records of production, incidents, and operational activities.
    • Liaise with onshore teams to align offshore operations with production schedules.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
  • 8–10 years of LNG or gas processing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory offshore role.
  • Strong knowledge of LNG production processes and offshore safety systems.
  • Certifications: BOSIET/OPITO, HSE, Permit to Work, Emergency Response.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
