A Contracts Administrator role focuses on managing, negotiating, and monitoring contracts in the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry, ensuring compliance, contractor performance, and smooth procurement processes.
Candidates typically need a business or engineering degree, 2–3+ years of contracting experience, and strong negotiation plus ERP/SAP skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Bid analysis & negotiation Participate as the contract proponent representative in analyzing bid responses, negotiating offers, and preparing counteroffers.
- Contract sourcing & prequalification Identify potential contractors, conduct service valuations, and manage prequalification processes.
- Contract administration Assist in procurement, prepare company estimates, review documentation, and ensure technical accuracy.
- Performance monitoring Track contractor activities, process invoices, maintain logs, and plan corrective actions for deficiencies.
- Documentation & compliance Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Stakeholder communication Liaise with project managers, legal teams, and external vendors to resolve disputes and align contract terms with project goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in contract management, preferably in oil & gas or petrochemicals.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (ideally SAP), invoice verification, and contracting practices.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and multicultural collaboration abilities.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken).
