Job Description: Offshore Logistics (Oil, Gas LNG Production)

Position Overview

The Offshore Logistics professional is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the movement of personnel, equipment, and materials to and from offshore oil, gas, and LNG facilities. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant logistics operations that support production schedules and maintain continuity of offshore activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Transportation Management:
  • Coordinate helicopter and vessel schedules for crew changes, cargo deliveries, and emergency mobilizations.
  • Ensure safe loading/unloading of supplies and equipment at offshore platforms and LNG facilities.
• Material & Equipment Handling:
  • Oversee shipment, storage, and distribution of spare parts, consumables, and heavy equipment.
  • Track offshore stock levels and arrange timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
• Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Manage customs clearance, shipping documentation, and compliance with international trade laws.
• Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure logistics operations adhere to HSE standards, offshore safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments for lifting, transport, and cargo handling operations.
• Communication & Reporting:
  • Act as the central point of contact between offshore teams, onshore bases, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Prepare reports on logistics activities, costs, and performance metrics.
• Emergency Response Support:
  • Mobilize resources quickly during offshore incidents, shutdowns, or urgent operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in logistics coordination, preferably in offshore oil & gas or LNG operations.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with offshore transport systems, customs regulations, and supply chain management software.
• Certifications: Offshore survival training (BOSIET/T-BOSIET, HUET), H2S awareness, and logistics-related certifications preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational ability, problem-solving, communication, and multitasking under pressure.
