Position Overview

Operation Expansion Support

Join a world-class LNG production team as a Rover Operator in Middle East-Qatar, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient field operations across LNG trains, utilities, and storage facilities. This role is critical to maintaining plant performance and supporting O & G LNG energy leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control LNG trains, gas processing units, helium plants, and utilities.
• Conduct routine field inspections, report abnormalities, and support maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Coordinate with control room operators and supervisors to maintain smooth plant operations.
• Maintain continuous presence in outdoor work areas to oversee equipment and processes.

Minimum Requirements

• Secondary school education (12 years) plus vocational training certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of operator experience in oil & gas (LNG preferred).
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to operational discipline.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Basic technical and computer skills.

Rover Operator LNG

Job Description: Rover Operator (OES)

• Perform the field operation of assigned facilities/units by monitoring performance and condition of equipment and maintaining the processes within operable limits as defined in standard procedures and instructions to achieve safe and reliable plant operation.

The Job requires

• (1) monitoring and supporting the safe operation of designed areas within the onshore operation facilities of LNG trains, Sales Gas Trains, Helium Plants, Plant Utilities, CSP, Refinery, Loading Berths, and storage facilities;
• (2) continuous presence in an outdoor work environment associated with harsh weather conditions, operating field equipment at high elevation, physical engagement during the operating process, equipment, and covering a wide range of areas during rounds with the operator.
• As defined for this job level in the Delegation of Authority and/or approved budget.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Maintain the competency of all operational procedures and practices through on-the-job training training and job rotation to ensure readiness and capability to assume the operator role.
• Operate field equipment in accordance with operating and approved safety procedures to ensure effective process flows and optimum operational status of equipment.
• Monitor and log all operating parameters, ensuring that all irregularities are reported to immediate supervisor for advice and/or resolution.
• Prepare field equipment in the allocated work area for maintenance activities and follow up on the execution and recommissioning of equipment upon satisfactory completion of work.
• Ensure all Permit to Work requirements and expectations are met throughout Permit to Work issuance in the field and during PTW field audits.
• Monitor all personnel and activities on site using, but limited to, unit surveillance, regular safety walks, audits, and Observation Cards to ensure site safety and operational effectiveness.
• Provide immediate first-line response capability in the event of emergencies or major incidents to eliminate or limit potential loss or damage to Company personnel, assets or the environment.
• Ensure the incoming shift operator is fully briefed on the current operating status and significant events during the previous shift to ensure seamless handover of responsibilities.
• Collect all regular and special samples correctly as per the schedule and direction of the shift supervisor
• Perform electrical isolation and de-isolation work of low-voltage electrical equipment in
• Preparation of equipment for maintenance activities in line with the approved procedure.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School Education (12 years) and a Vocational Training Programme Certificate.

Working Experience

• 3 years of operator experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Strongly qualified in rover operator utility & rover operator LNG
• Knowledge and/or Technical and Business Skills
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Operation Technical Competency Assessment Program.
• Basic technical and computer skills.
• Requires Safety Awareness.

Special Requirements:

• Hands on experience in multi cargo loading operations including LPG, Condensate, NAPHTHA, Jet A1, Gas oil, GTL products, Caustic, MEG and other refined products.Practical experience in ship side operations such as berthing support ship readiness checks connection and disconnection of marine loading arms and flexible hoses.

• Line up verification and cargo transfer monitoring.

• Ship shore safety checks and communication during loading.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with senior operators panel operator shift supervisor marine team and maintenance crew ability to follow strict operational discipline in a high risk multi product marine terminal

• Fluent English speaking, reading, and writing is mandatory

• Must be able to understand and follow technical procedures, permits, safety instructions, and ship shore communications protocols.
